Belltown Dance Studio bring you to Seattle from New Orleans Bachata/Salsa 2wks 14hrs Intensive w/De'Jon & Clo

Back by demand! This program is geared towards  Intermediate/Advanced level Latin Dancers with solid fundamentals in Bachata and Salsa On2.

FRIDAY

6:00pm-7:35pm
Dominican Bachata 1.5hrs)
This training is focused on Bachata in it's original form as danced in Dominican Republic.
We will be drilling fundamentals, body movement, footwork, control, timing, partnerwork, instrumentation, musicality and connection while gaining the essence of authentic bachata.

7:40pm-9:10pm
Sensual Bachata (1.5hrs)
This training is focused on fusing elements of Brazilian Zouk Body movement with Bachata timing/principles, lead and follow relationship, connection, musicality, patterns in variation and technique emphasis in the Social Dance.

SATURDAY

1pm-2pm
Zouk Body Movement for Bachateros (1hr)
This training is focused on the breakdown and mechanics of Zouk Body movement for Bachata timing, momentum change, weight change, musicality and fluidity for both lead and follow that will enhance a social dancers Sensual Bachata experience!

2:05pm- 3:05pm
Bachata Ladies Styling
1 hour styling workshop focused on training in timing, arm and leg extensions, body movement interpretation and musicality.

3:10pm-5:10pm
ðSalsa On2 /Dance Training (2hrs)
2 Hour Intensive containing challenging Salsa on2 footwork/body Movement,
partnerwork, spin technique training, solo/partnered drills, musicality, and all the essentials to building solid social dancers and performers!

Option 1a/1b:
1a) Bachata Intensive Training Program (8hrs)
Includes 6 hr of Sensual Bachata and Dominican Bachata Training on Fri. + 2hr of Zouk Body Movement  $170 or $210 after April 1st.

1b) Bachata Intensive Training Program + 2hrs Bachata Ladies Styling (10hrs)
$210 or $230 after April 1st.

Option 2:
Salsa On2 Intensive Training Program (4hrs) ONLY
( both Sat. - 4hrs )

Option 3a/3b:
3a) Both weeks on Fri. & Sat. of Bachata/Ladies Styling & Salsa On2 Intensive Training Program (all 14hrs)

De'Jon & Clo Bio:

De'Jon Polanski is a high energy and diverse Afro Latin Dance Instructor, Performer, Artist, and Social Dancer from a Dominican cultural background and was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where music and art dominates the city. He discovered Latin Dance at the age of 16 years old and began to social dance Salsa and Bachata untrained until later discovering Cuban Master Aurelio Gonzalez, where he trained in, Rueda de Casino, Folklore and Cuban Son, Orishas and Rumba. He later ventured off into training privately with Raymond Armant of Mambo Orleans to transition into Salsa on1 LA Style and Salsa on2 NY Style. De''Jon's Diverse style stems from his adventurous training with multiple masters via private lessons and exclusive master camp trainings with the King of Mambo, Eddie Torres and Afro Cuban Master, Marisol Blanco, Jose Serrano and Tomas Guerrero. His extensive bachata training started at home due to his Dominican Background, but extends to privately training with Masters such as Jorjet Alcocer (Dominican Bachata), Alma Latina (Urban/Sensual Bachata), (Korke y Judith), Daniel y Desiree (Sensual Bachata), and many more. De'Jon teaches Salsa on1, Salsa on2, Cuban Style Salsa, Dominican Bachata, Urban Bachata, Sensual Bachata, Bachakizomba Fusion (Bachakiz), and so much more. He is also an ex College Football Standout and United Air Force Veteran which adds so many dynamics to his interesting teaching style and hardcore approach to dance training.

Claudia (Clo) Ferreira was born in Isla Margarita, Venezuela and, since the age of four, raised in New Jersey, USA. She began training with her brother Henri Velandia (Ry'El Zen Zouk) at the age of 9 in all styles including Classical, American/Latin/Brazilian Ballroom, Latin Social such as Salsa, Bachata (Multiple Styles of Bachata) etc. Her styling, technique, and stage presence captured the respect of the salsa bachata community at a very early age. In 2010 she found a new love, Brazilian Zouk. She has won competitions, performed in various venues world wide, has taught numerous workshops in multiple styles at dance congresses internationally, and has won titles, such as International Choreographer. Her workshops, private classes, choreographies, and performances all focus on the natural flow and traditional rhythm of Brazilian Zouk, originally the Lambada, Salsa on1/on2, bachata accompanied by the fundamentals of classical technique, Latin styling, and the elements that allow ones body to move freely and creatively across all styles of dance! She is partnered with another extremely Versatile Dancer, De'Jon Polanski and together this versatile power couple teach Salsa On2, Salsa On1, Bachata (Sensual, Urban and Dominican), Zouk and Kiz Fusion all over the world.

Registering online:

We accept online payment only up to the day before class starts. Please note that there is a Paypal fee of 3.5% when you register online. If you are registering on the day of the class, please call regarding openings and we ask that you come in 5 mins early to register. credit card or cash only please.

Credit/Refunds:
*With out a 24 hour notice, there are NO refunds on prepaid missed workshops.
5-6 weeks series group classes, with a 24 hours notice of cancellation, there is a $10 processing fee to reschedule for following series. If given less then a 24hr cancel notice or after the series have started, you do have an option having a opion of 50% credit towards another 6wk series. *All credit expires after 90 days from the date the student originally signed up.
Canceling less then 24hr notice, or after teken 1-2 classes or missed first or second class, there are NO refunds or roll over credit.

What does 1 & 2-3 means?
If you are a brand new student to salsa, you would be in Beginner level 1.
Students  who have taken salsa lessons else where and very comfortable with "Cross Body Lead", you should be in our beginner level "2-3." If you are not sure please feel free to call us at: 206.930.7246 ask for Jim

Shoes: Be sure to wear dance shoes or shoes that don't have too much traction on their soles, as this will allow you to spin more easily. Ladies, heel and ankle support is a plus. From our local dance shoes stores, be sure there are no staples of metal object such as nail in your heel of a shoes that can scratch up our dance floor.

Instructors Rehearsal/private lesson rental:
Hourly rental fee must be paid with in no later then 24 hrs in advance (only upon availability). 50% refundable  if cancel less then 12 hrs notice on day of.
